花椒直播 shares best practices in inclusive education with Danish delegation
花椒直播 took part in a visit from members of the Danish Parliament who were keen to learn about inclusive educational policies and practices within the Scottish education system.
The visit, which took place at 花椒直播 on 4th March, was part of a Scottish Government hosted delegation to foster international collaboration and share good practice in inclusive education. The group of MPs was particularly interested in the ways in which Scotland supports children with special needs who may be included in mainstream schools.
The three-day visit (3rd 鈥 5th March), led by Sara Emil Baaring, Vice-Chair the Danish Parliament鈥檚 Committee for Education and Young People, involves a series of meetings which will look at Scotland鈥檚 work on inclusivity across primary and secondary education. The delegation's interest lies in Scotland's 2019 reform, which emphasises support and interventions to enable those with a range of needs to be supported to excel in mainstream education.
During the visit to 花椒直播, the delegation took part in a round-table discussion with Dr Suzie Dick, Lisa Luhanga, and Chris Green, focusing on interagency working, school nursing services, and emotional and behavioural inclusion. 花椒直播 staff were delighted to be joined by colleagues from both Stirling and Glasgow universities.
Dr Suzie Dick, Lecturer in Education at 花椒直播, said: "This meeting presented a great opportunity for knowledge exchange between our two countries. We were delighted to share some of our research and practices on inclusive education, and our approach to teaching inclusive education with primary and secondary teachers. Particularly, we were able to share our specialist knowledge in interagency working and rural schools, emotional and behavioural inclusion and the school nursing service. We were also pleased to learn about the way in which our Danish colleagues approached inclusive practices.
鈥淭his exchange confirms 花椒直播鈥檚 commitment to developing international collaborations and reaching beyond boundaries, as well as our passion for equality of opportunity for all children and young people.鈥
